ChatGPT Becomes More Human With New Voice And Vision Capabilities
(NEW YORK)–OpenAI announced this morning it is rolling out voice interactions and image recognition for ChatGPT over the next two weeks for Plus and Enterprise users.
“This is an incredibly exciting development that will make ChatGPT even more useful in people’s daily lives,” said Tom Bustamante, the Founder & CEO of Next Realm AI. “By adding voice and images, we are providing a more natural, intuitive interface for users to engage with the AI.”
With the new voice feature, users will be able to have back-and-forth conversations with ChatGPT by speaking out loud. This hands-free option allows for engaging with the AI assistant on the go, without typing. Users can choose from five different voice options in the app settings.
The image recognition tools will let users snap photos or screenshots and ask ChatGPT questions about them. Potential uses include getting information about landmarks while traveling, figuring out dinner recipes by showing ingredients, and helping kids with math homework by circling problems in a photo.
The voice and image roll out will start this week for Plus and Enterprise customers on iOS and Android devices. The image features will also be available across all platforms. Next Realm AI says these new capabilities provide more intuitive ways for people to interact with AI in their daily lives.
